Established in 2007, as a boutique cake and cupcake shop, located in the San Fernando Valley.  A Sweet Design specializes in amazing flavor combinations and one of a kind designs.  Owner and lead decorators Joeleen & Miguel, are experts in their craft and create edible work of art for all occasions.

Whether its a custom cake for the most important day of your life or a dozen cupcakes for a celebration, every single order created, is held to the highest standards.  Using only top quality ingredients, flavor and taste are just as important as design.

Miguel, self taught carpenter, specializes in 3D custom made cakes, life size guitars,  replicas of cars and more.  Basically, if it’s a challenge, bring it on!

Joeleen, classically trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, CA., has a passion for delicious tasting cakes.  She specializes in gorgeous free-hand piping cakes, buttercream or fondant.  With an emphasize on beautiful wedding cakes. What a romantic!

    Thank you for the great cake. The cake was for my daughther’s XV. I’ve got a lot of compliments for the cake. I had 200 guests and ordered cake for only 100 people thinking Oh well not everyone likes cake and I don’t want to have cake left over. Well I was wrong, all the cake was gone and I did not even have a piece. My sister is planning her wedding and we’re going to order it from you, this time we’ll make sure we order enough. I think we just started a tradition for our celebrations.

    I absolutely love all the pictures you have up!!! Is there any way that you can send me a picture of the fondant covered madhatter style cake with damask pattern going all the way around?? I absolutely LOVE that cake!!! That’s the exact cake I had pictured in my mind for my wedding, but couldn’t find it anywhere & I’d love to have a bigger picture of that cake to give to my baker?! Truly would appreciate it.. :)
