Can I sample your cakes...
Absolutely, we welcome complimentary cake tastings. Please view our calendar of appointments page for a full list of available dates and times for wedding cakes and 3D scuplted cakes. We do have walk in hours as well but it isn't a guarantee that a designer will be able to sit down with you. There is a charge for wheat free/gluten free cake samples.
How much advance notice is required to place an order...
In order to ensure availability it is advised that you place your order as soon as you know you want it. It is never to early to book for your event date. We do require 14 days advance notice on orders...more time for more complex orders.
Why can't ASD make a Custom Cake order with less than 14 days notice...
We would rather make 20 amazing cakes than 40 rushed cakes. Much detail and hard work is needed for each cake. Planning for each cake regardless of how "simple" it seems...requires much production. We appreciate each and every client who places the responsibility of their event needs in our hands and it MUST be done to the best of our ability each and every single time.
What should I bring with me on a cake tasting...
Bring color samples, magazine cut outs, sketches, invitations and other items that will help create your one of a kind creation. Feel free to bring 1-2 others with you. Appointments can range from 20-60 minutes. View Calendar of Appointments page.

Yes, we have many albums full of pictures that we have created over the years.

Do you deliver...
We certainly do. For some designs we recommend delivery if set up is involved. Delivery charges depend on destination distance.

What is better: Fondant or Buttercream...
Both have their advantages. It's a matter of preference. We work well with both types of finishes. Not all filling types are appropriate for fondant cakes though. You can check out Fondant Fillings for a list of appropriate fillings for fondant cakes. Any filling can be used in a buttercream cake.
Do I have to provide you with flowers for my wedding cake...
You may, but we can certainly provide those for you. It is best that the cake designer complete the look of her masterpiece. We assume NO responsibility when someone else touches OUR cake. Why is it so personal...because we spend many hours working on our cakes...it's super personal.
